New official bio coming soon.
(previous bio 2005)
DJ Harvey is absolutely his own man and
his musical style cannot simply be filed as eclectic or retrospective.
He is respected and in demand the world over to supply the sounds for
a vast array of clubs, fashion shows and private events. Always one
step ahead of the curve he is sighted by both club goers and his contemporaries
as being an inspiration.
His clients not only include some of the worlds greatest clubs and promoters
including Pacha, Yellow, Ministry Of Sound, Cielo, Respect in Paris, Deepspace,
718 Sessions but also such esteemed companies as Calvin Klein, Antonio Berardi,
Ted Baker, Burberry, Levis and Deisel. He has re-mixed and produced a vast
array of artists such as Jamiroqui, The Police, Ian Brown, Brand New Heavies,
Tommy Guerrero, as well as releasing tracks on Mo Wax, Nuphonic, Southern Fried
and Ministry Of Sound and his own irreverent Black Cock label. An avid surfer
skater Harvey provided the soundtrack to accompany original Dogtown and Z Boys
Skater - Tony Alva’s exhibition that took in cities from Tokyo and LA
to New York.
He co-owns an award winning contemporary art gallery in Hawaii thirtyninehotel
that transforms to a club each weekend that has hosted events for the likes
of Volcom, and continues to show work from cutting edge artists. He is currently
putting the finishing touches in a studio in Woodstock to his acclaimed band
project Map Of Africa due for release early 2006.
